WE ARE HERE. WE WILL BE SEEN. was created as part of an initiative between Ellipsis Prints and Repaint History, calling on art institutions and galleries to critically reassess the representation of women and non-binary artists within their programmes and collections.

In artist Valerie Savchits’ hands, the phrase becomes more than a slogan — it is a collective assertion. Direct and unambiguous, the text occupies space with insistence, transforming visibility into an act of resistance. The work refuses marginality, demanding presence rather than permission.

Derived from Savchits’ original canvas, the print carries the immediacy of protest and the clarity of manifesto. Language functions here as both shield and amplification, an insistence that representation is not symbolic, but structural.

Produced in a limited edition of 25 and signed and numbered by the artist, the print extends Ellipsis Prints’ commitment to shifting visibility from peripheral to central.
