For this limited edition print, Lucy Whitford has combined her ceramic pieces with her works on paper, experimenting with layering techniques and juxtapositions. The drawing in her first edition ‘Alcea’ features as the basis for this print and she matches it with her ceramic pieces which appear on top. Their intense patterning is created through manipulating black fired clay with marbled clay and porcelain. The prints hold many of the qualities of Lucy Whitford’s wider practice which challenges the limits her of materials and embodies a fluid and intuitive approach. The prints are available to collect in a limited edition of 100.
