Kim Booker’s print reminisces on a summer gone by. It is based on her own short story about a chance encounter between an older woman and a younger man. A bird features in the image as a symbol of freedom and possibility. A second bird has been scrubbed out, leaving only traces of its presence. The image and painterly approach closely reflect Booker’s painting practice and the layering and re-working she likes to do on her canvases. Her prints are available to collect in a limited edition of 100.
