Daisy Parris

Artist Profile

Daisy Parris has created two original limited edition prints entitled ‘I Like Myself’ and ‘I Hate Myself’. The prints capture an internal struggle as little notes of self-loathing or self-appreciation sit on top of balancing rocks.

In their painting practice, Daisy Parris uses bold and deeply saturated strokes to build works that exude energy and aggression. Inspired by their own experiences, the paintings are a visceral response to everyday life, documenting gut feelings, thoughts and memories. Words play a vital role as the artist plays with their weight and their context, often distorting their meaning. Daisy Parris undertook a Foundation diploma at UCA Rochester, and graduated in Fine Art at Goldsmiths University in 2014. They are currently showing at Hauser & Wirth in Somerset.
